Raya and the Last Dragon

Raya and the Last Dragon is a breath of fresh air from our beloved storytellers at Disney.

Lately, I've felt Disney has been coasting in their storytelling (or full on making a mess) and it was so good to see something fresh and new - something I haven't seen before. 

Raya and the Last Dragon has heart, grit, and some pretty intense monsters--plus the CUTEST AND MOST WONDERFUL DRAGON EVER IN FILM.

Yes, I am now a dragon nerd and a huge Sisu fan. 

Not only is the story fantastic, but Disney finally (FINALLY) set a story with southeast Asian characters. The color, the texture, the culture--it's so absent from modern film (or even classic film). Southeast Asian culture is so rich and has so much to offer it's a wonder they haven't delved into it before.

I would see Raya again in a heartbeat, and I recommend you do, too.
